A GLASS OF LIFE

Toddler: A glass of water, what shall I do with it?

Teenager: The glass is not half empty; the glass is full, half with water and half with air.

College Student: The glass is not half empty, the glass the twice the size than required.

Young Professional: The glass is not half empty, the glass is half full.

Middle-aged man: The glass is indeed half empty.

Old Retired Man: Holds the glass, drinks the water...

"I asked the right question as a toddler, but was looking for the wrong solutions all my life. I was thirsty and all I needed was to drink the water."

Moral of the story: Life is simple, enjoy it. Don't make it complicated by thinking too much.

  11. Life comes a full circle. Goes to show that childhood and old age are the pragmatic stages of life. The rest is a voyage of discovery, sometimes bewildered, at other times pretentious. Good one Sub :)

  13. Well said.Sometimes we need to leave some things the way they are, enjoy them for what they are, instead of trying to crack what is behind them. Very Nice. :)

  15. Life is simple, in actuality. We make it complicated as we think complication shows our intelligence.

  34. LOL....that might be the conclusion of all that thought process :P

actually i meant 'dont think much about LIFE and make it complicated'...i did not want to mean 'don't think'....sometimes we think too much about life about success, about money, about good and bad, about our future...etc, etc....but we can never stop thinking, can we?

thanks for your comments Swati :)

Would just like to add a funny line to it :

A Drunker would have filled the half glass with some alcohol to make the glass full and drink it, rather than thinking much... :P
