Welcome to KHOJ: The search to know our roots and understand the meaning of our existence.

Prejudice is the biggest problem in the society. It can be it in terms of religion, cast, sex, skin-colour, status etc. Prejudice can also be in form of the feeling that human beings are the greatest creation, or even patriotism about artificially created borders. The motto of KHOJ is to gain knowledge and break that prejudice. But there is a word of caution for the readers. To break the prejudice KHOJ might throw upon you the concepts it believes in. If the reader believes on KHOJ’s perception without question, then KHOJ itself might incept a prejudice in the readers mind thus failing in it own motto. KHOJ is trying to break its own world of prejudice, but at times that prejudice might get reflected in its writing. Please do challenge them.

Life 'you know' is an illusion

Continued from here .....

Seeing is believing, or is it? If you consider yourself the size of an empty football stadium, then the actual solid matter that makes you is of the size of a fly. Yes, that is how hollow your atoms are, and so are you. Wouldn’t everything you see be transparent then? Why can’t you pass through the walls? The reality that we know is an interpretation of our brain based on the information we perceive through our senses. So the reality we know is as good as our senses. Let’s see how good our senses are.

MIND a bumpy ride?

Human beings have always tried to explain the mysteries of life. We have tried for over 20,000 years, and still we are equally confused. Look at the animals; they seem to be in a flow with the nature. I can never know what their philosophy of life is, but I would not be surprised if they know the truth better than us. They realized from the beginning that civilization is a stupid idea, which is why they never tried. And all the while we thought we are intelligent because we have civilization and kept asking the poor animals “Tumhare paas kya hai?” (“What do you have?”). They could not even say “mere paas ma hai” (“I have mother”). It is natural for mothers to leave them when they are old enough. They realized from the beginning that having mother-in-law is a stupid idea. However this post is not about making us realize how stupid we are, I have done it already in the post ‘Cheers to our Stupidity’.

MAGIC OF LIFE

Prologue
As a kid I believed in magic. Magic to me was supernatural, something that happened in the fairy tales, things that happened in Neverland. As I grew up I realized that magic was just a trick. The magic of ‘magic’ went out of my life, only to comeback much later…

Cheers to our stupidity!

We are the most intelligent species on earth, at least that’s what we think. Religious faiths have considered humanity as the greatest creation of god, while scientists have made it a point that we remain the greatest creation of evolution. The irony is that, though both consider humanity as the greatest form of life, they fight with each other to defend their reason for our greatness. Fighting is a sure proof of our intelligence. Stay with me, i will prove that you are stupid!

MUMBAI BLASTS - Celebrating the resilient spirit of India!

Another disgraceful assault on the countries financial capital, bloods of innocents shed. But the citizens had some consoling speech from the inspirational ministers. This will make the souls of the victims rest in pieces…uh…I mean peace. Did someone say that there are more people dying from lightening strike than terrorism? Like Mr Chidambaram says, it is a blast in Mumbai after a gap of 31 months. Government has kept the people safe for such a long duration is actually an intelligence success, not failure. That really comforts me; since the most eligible bachelor…err…PM has already said that it is impossible to stop terrorist attacks. Should I say thank you? What is also impossible to stop is giving people like Advani and Arun Jaitely the chance to promote themselves in their otherwise silent era.

Let’s Embrace Death

Wikipedia tries to define death as the termination of the biological functions that sustain a living organism [1]. The definition of death is fuzzy, but defining death is not the purpose of this post. This post aims at killing the fear of death itself, because ‘daar ke age jeet hai’. Let us challenge the authority of Yamraj. Death brings fear, fear brings grief, and grief brings misery. Each and every moment we are struggling not to die, we are forgetting how to live. One day we will grow old and look back at the road traveled and repent all the opportunities missed.

Women, Shut Up!

Dated: 8th July 2011
To all WOMEN,
[SUB: Women, Shut Up!]
Dear Fairer Sex,

Hope you all are in good health. Today being my mother’s birthday, I thought it was the right time to write this letter. This letter is dedicated to all you beauties out there. So first shut up (my apologies for using this word to attract your attention) and listen, with an open mind. When I tell you to shut up, all I mean is to stop blaming the ‘man’-kind for all your troubles. I understand that there are lots of problems that a woman has to face in her daily lives, but I believe that there is a solution to all problems, and complaining is not one of them. One needs to go back and look at the fundamental cause of the problem. We are partly to be blamed for the male dominated society that we have selfishly build. I have mentioned that already in the post 'huntress to seductress'. But this post is about the other side of the coin.
